I AM TAKING COMMISSIONS =D

Thu Jul 9, 2009, 8:26 AM
Here's your chance to own a one-of-a-kind piece of artwork!

I specialise in drawing photo-realistic pencil portraits, and I am taking commissions. The photograph can be of any person: family member, friend, or even a celebrity.

How it works:
- You send me your photograph via e-mail or post (your photo must be as high-resolution as possible)
- I check the photograph and contact you
- You send me a 30% deposit of the final price
- I draw your portrait
- I send you an image of the portrait for you to approve and make any adjustments if necessary
- I receive your approval and request payment
- Upon receiving payment, I send you the final drawing

Other details:
- Portraits are drawn on smooth, high-quality cartridge paper and come unframed
- It will take up to 10 weeks to complete your portrait, depending on my workload. It can take me up to 12 hours or more to complete one portrait alone!
- Portraits are send sandwiched between two pieces of thick card to prevent getting bent through the post
- Contact me if you would like other detail added to the piece, e.g. background details
- I can only accept payment by cheque or cash. Sorry, no credit card payments at the moment.
- I do accept commissions from overseas

Giving Madina Lake my portrait!

Mon Jun 8, 2009, 3:46 AM
I saw Madina Lake a few weeks ago, and before the show they did a signing. I gave them each a print of my portrait of them that I drew ([link])! There's a video here: [link]

I've finished school now, so I'm off for 3 months. I'm planning on starting an A3 portrait of Green Day this week, because I'm seeing them in October (soooooo excited! :D :D)

I have finally finished all of my art exams! I sat my Photography (5 hours), Art Graphics (10 hours), Art 3D (10 hours) and Fine Art (10 hours) a couple of weeks ago, so now they are all out of the way. I will get the results in August, then in September I'll either be going to Art College or doing A Levels at school (big dilemma! :omfg:).

Now that all of the exam work is out of the way, I will be able to have a bit more free time during my Art lessons, so hopefully I will be able to do some more personal work that I haven't had the chance to do for a while.

Over Easter, I'll be doing my last piece of coursework, the final for my floral project in Fine Art. I'll be painting part of a rose on canvas in acrylics. I really hope I can develop my skills in painting this year, so hopefully this will be a good starting point :D.

Look out for more of my work over the following months!

Here is a time-lapse video of me drawing my Billie Joe portrait. Youtube wouldn't let me upload it with Green Day music on it :hmm: so it's just silent :(:(:(. It's also best if you watch it in high quality.

Watch it here: [link]

Enjoy :D
